5 Pro Skincare Tips For Glowing Skin This Summer!

Get Glowing!

1. Exfoliate at least weekly. Your skin is made of many layers so the older you get the slower the natural exfoliation process slows down. So to get rid of dullness use an exfoliate with particles to scrub them away or one containing glycolic acid which eats dead skin.

Try: Ocean Salt Scrub from Lush cosmetics, it contains lime and vodka which are ideal for removing blocked pores and blemishes.

2. Invest in a good sunscreen (all natural if possible). The sun is the number one factor to aging. Use at least a SPF30 , which means you are protected in the sun for 350 minutes without re-applying. I feel that the SPF in your makeup is not sufficient as it's usually only a SPF15. Most people do not apply enough for it to actually work. Do not be fooled that a higher SPF means more sun protection, a 50 is the same as 15, you just don't need to re-apply it as often.

Try: Arbonne Mineral Sunscreen, it is water resistant and contains zinc oxide which protects against UVA and UVB rays.

3. Cut out excess sugar and carbs in your diet. To much sweets in your diet can make you look older. Excess sugar in the bloodstream impairs skins proteins like collagen, elastin and keratin which are the main source of our skin's strength and elasticity. The skin can become drier and wrinkles will look more obvious, so eat more greens and nuts to help combat this.

4. Hydrate. Hydration is key to having glowing skin so do not skip the moisturizer. Best time to apply is right after a shower as it absorbs best. I recommend you give my favourite moisturizer a try, Organic Coconut Oil. This amazing stuff can be used all over your body and can even be used as an eye make-up remover. I also put it in my morning smoothie as it tastes great and is a healthy fat to eat.

5. Take an Omega supplement. Omegas including DHA and EPA are great for your skin care health. They help to reduce inflammation, promote moisture-retention and protect from sun damage. Also, they help to boost your brainpower and improve your memory. Aim for buying one with no artificial colours or flavours that is pure like Genuine Health brand.
